I'm baaaaaack!

Here I am y'all! My mommy has been sooooooooooo bad about keeping up with my blog! Geez! She was real busy in November with her Junior League project, but now it's over and she's gearing up for her next busy season......when I'm M-O-B-I-L-E! And let me tell you people, it is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Lucky for Mommy's Christmas tree that I still stay on my bottom where she puts me, but in a few weeks, I'M OUTTA HERE! Kitchen cabinets, here I come! So here's the latest with me: I'm a week away from being 8 months old! I now eat solid food like a big girl! Mommy makes all of my baby food and freezes it in little cubes! Peas are my favorite, and butternut squash is a close second. The messier the better! I still don't have a single tooth in my head, but that's okay.... I am very into music! All kinds! Right now the Christmas music is stuck on repeat in our house, but I really do love the part that says ".....five golllllllllden riiiiiiiiings!....." That's my favorite song.

What else? Well, I've been anxious to tell you that I'm going to have a cousin in May! I'm really excited about that! Baby Clark is going to be so much fun to play with!!

I'm looking forward to Santa coming this year! We have a chimney and everything in this house! :)

I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2010! Mommy says she'll be better about posting too!

Love,
Jocelyn

Go Frogs!

I sure am glad Aunt Sissy and Uncle Booby's favorite team has purple for its color! What a disaster yellow would be on me!!!

Peas are okay, .......

...but I have a taste for fine sterling!

The Power of Technology

My how far technology has come! Polly and Poppa got to watch Jocelyn try peas for the first time via Skype. What a fabulous invention for everyone!!

Where is Jocelyn??

Peekaboo!

You just thought you'd seen the last of the bunny suit.....NOPE! I can't get enough of these ears, so I put this hat on Jocelyn every chance I get!

Who needs candy??

Why eat candy when you have furry bunny slippers????

Boo!

"Hoppy" Halloween

It was a quiet Halloween in the House-hold.....I put her in her costume, parked her in front of the pumpkins, and Daddy snapped a few photos. In this one, she was grinning at a CAR LOAD, i repeat CAR LOAD of kids that jumped out in front of our house. I think the grin was because she knew we didn't have any candy for them and that's what they get for driving across town for a Tootsie Roll!

DISCLAIMER

Hi friends! It's Page ('Mommy')....I feel obligated to take a time out here and warn you that what follows is an OBNOXIOUS---I mean OOOOBBBBBNNNOOOXXXXXIOUS--- amount of photos of a baby bunny. If you have put my email address on your spam radar because of the ridiculous amount of pictures I send out, but you still check in with the blog, then YOU'RE IN LUCK! This is what you have been missing out on! :) Background: Polly and I purchased bits and pieces of this "costume" in September, thinking it would make a great Halloween get-up for a 6 month old. As it turns out, I've put her in this number on more than one occasion and sent her picture out, so it was no surprise that when October 31 rolled around, there would be more bunny pictures. (They sorta "mulitply like rabbits"....no pun intended)

So I spent about 30 minutes with 2 different cameras snapping away as Jocelyn played with baby pumpkins, pulled on her ears, and DROOLED. I don't know that I've laughed harder thus far. She was hilarious when she was pulling on her ears.... Anyway, I could go on and on...the pictures tell the story.

My thanks for letting me share these with you, because as you well know, she is the joy of my life; the highlight of my day; the reason I smell like spit up 6 out of 7 days in the week; and most of all, God's blessing to Jay and I. We don't remember life without her (except for maybe the part about sleeping till noon on Saturdays....). It is surprising how fast 6 months whizzes by you and break neck speed....I find myself wondering if she'll remember all of the times I've rocked her and told her I love her? All of the times I've loaned her my bangs to pull with all her might? All of the times she's been on Skype, "talking" to her family in far away places? (Yes, Corpus and Dallas are "far away places")

She won't remember these moments at all, but she will have this blog to refer back to and see just how crazy we are about her...so crazy as to put her pictures up in overwhelming numbers to share with those of you that love us and want to keep up with our HOUSEhold. ;)

Enough of that.....it's rare that Jocelyn lets me take over the keyboard for a moment...enjoy these pictures and giggle a little today at Jocelyn's expense!

Love to all of you,
Page

Got carrots?

HERE SHE GOES!

.....GOING.....

....GOING.....

GONE!

I give up!

Ears, you win. It is no longer feasible for me to tug on you WITHOUT taking a spill.

Oh good! Mommy brought snacks! Because I'm on to this candy corn over here....it's not real! But this looks good!
Man, I love toys with handles!
Well aren't you a slippery little devil!
Try again? But I need to hold on to this other pumpkin in case it rolls away!
I see now, ...this is one of those two-handed toys.
NOW I gotcha!
Oh, this is very strange....and it doesn't even rattle....hmmm.....
It wasn't worth the effort.....I still don't have any teeth. :(

Happy Fall!

We're gonna do WHAT to these pumpkins?!?!? Cut 'em up?? But wwwhhhhyyyyyyyyyyy? (Because Daddy LOVES to carve the most difficult patterns on them. If pumpkin carving had a skill level system like skiing, then Daddy likes the BLACK DIAMONDS of pumpkin carving.)

Sunday Lunch at Buddy's house

Boo!

Betcha didn't know I'm sitting up now! I just decided one morning when I woke up that today would be the day! If I had seen what I see now, I would have sat up a LONG time ago!

Tailgating practice

It's no secret that Jay and I don't need "practice" in the sport of tailgaiting, but Jocelyn does! We took her to a Friday night tailgate party since we don't get around to doing it on gameday. We usually skate in just as the cannon goes off! She is quite the football fan! She usually makes it until the second quarter, then sleeps until the fourth quarter!

Mandy's done it again!

Dear Mandy, These shoes are THE BEST! They are so shiny on the outside and furry on the inside! JUST what I prefer in a Stuart Weitzman! Mommy's jealous....I think she thought we were going to dress alike since Polly made she and Aunt Amy dress alike, but she won't ever find these gems in her size! :) I wore them all weekend at our family reunion.....on a ranch.....every day is sparkly in my world! Love, Jocelyn

Here's what I think about the stock market!

If you don't like what the paper says, by all means, SHRED IT IMMEDIATELY, regardless of how black your hands get since they were covered in drool before you even started, right?

Smile at the Birdy!

Here are Jocelyn and her sweet friend Mae Arrington. Mae is 2 months younger (and 10 pounds lighter!) than Jocelyn. She's as tall as Jocelyn, but is long and lean like her Mommy. We are anxious for the two of them to start playing Barbies together! :)

Fun with friends!

Mae: "Hey Jocelyn! Look at my socks! Do you have socks?"

Jocelyn: : "Yes, Mae, I have socks...but they're called toys at my house, and I pull em off and chew on them."

Fun with friends!

Jocelyn: "Hey Mae! Look at this! We can jump over the side of this chair and go do something fun!"

Mae: "No way Jocelyn! You're a bad influence! Mommy's watching us right now! I'm staying riiiiiiiiiiiiight here!"

Can you believe this hair??

I never thought Jocelyn would lose her hair...she made it to four and a half months with a full head of hair and all of a sudden, it started coming out in clumps! This is what she is left with! (It's actually deceiving....when she sits in her carseat, she looks like she may have a ponytail hiding back there, but when you see her out of the carseat, you can see that ALL she has are bangs!)

5 months old!

Jocelyn is now 5 months old! She is so, so funny. And so, so sweet! She is now rolling over, which I thought would never happen, but just did overnight! She is into shrieking loudly just to hear herself, chewing on EVERYTHING, and "singing" in the car.

"Mooooooommmmmmm!"

'Mom! The History Channel is soooooooooo boring! Even Daddy is sleeping!"

This bonnet is bigger than my tutu!

Jocelyn was baptized on September 13....here are she and Polly posing for a picture before the service. A unique story about Jocelyn's gown....it is my mom's wedding dress! Polly had her wedding dress made into a gown for Jocelyn's baptism....it is identical to the real thing, except that it is short sleeved instead of long sleeved. The seamstress used every part of the dress to create the gown and bonnet! It was a very special gift that I am so proud of! She looked absolutely angelic!

Proud Mommy and Daddy

Family Photo time

Wide awake! (AFTER the service, of course!)

Goodnight Moon. Goodnight Red Raiders. Goodnight Daddy.

You're kidding.....

"Another diaper change? Really? We JUST changed it. Oh...it's wet again? Um, ....is it your turn Daddy?"

My first football game!

"Mommy and Daddy took me to my very first Texas Tech football game! Thank goodness our colors are red and black....can you even SEE me in burnt orange???? ICKY!!!!!"

Wreck em Tech!

"Does Mommy look a little nervous? She was....this was my very first Texas Tech football game...she thought I was a LOOSE CANNON! I didn't disappoint her though....behaved like a lady! Oh, and she wants me to tell all you Aggie fans that follow my blog....this was AN HOUR before the game started....the stadium was FULL at 6 pm!"

"Yes, Jocey, you ARE wearing more clothes than those cheerleaders...."
